About Sam Gregory

A bit about me:

I am a dedicated mum to four boys (1 husband, 2 dogs and a human son).  I come from a country bumkin family where we grew up with a neighbour that was a field… bliss.

Now I live in a town I have turned my garden into a wildlife haven and veggie patch.  I’m training for charity runs and I might even run a marathon one day or eat a Snickers, not quite sure!  I love everything from knitting to Formula1, go figure.

What I bring to ASG:

A dark sense of humour, a sensible approach to HR and an ideology of creating a culture of inclusivity and development.  My bag also contains 10 years experience from different industries and covers a few core specialisms.

My favourite dinosaur is…

Raptor (“Run! The raptors have a new Alpha” – best line from a rubbish film, in my opinion)

I couldn’t live without…

My phone, my tablet and my laptop.  Sorry, I mean, my son, my dogs and my family.

My guilty pleasure is…

This would suggest I do something naughty, and I never do anything naughty! 😛

Favourite film:

My favourite film is probably Forest Gump, but the best film I’ve seen is Twelve Years a Slave.

It would be unfair not to mention 8 Mile, Philadelphia, Mrs Doubtfire, Train Spotting, Se7en, Saving Private Ryan and The Green Mile.

The best book I ever read was…

The Harry Potter series, but I do recommend the Storyteller by Jodi Picoult.

My greatest achievement:

Earning my three designations in one year.

The best song ever written:

Mr. Blue Sky by ELO.

My ideal car would be…

An Audi R8.

When I’m not working, I…

Enjoy not working.

My Favourite Quote:

“When you were little you had a mother you thought was wrong.  Now you have a child, you realise that your child thinks you’re wrong and you know you’re mother was right.”

I am inspired by…

My Nan, every single day.
