Position: Senior Buyer & Key Account Manager (Merchandising / Promotional Items)
Location: Warsaw Area, Poland
Salary: based on experience – guideline 150 000 PLN / annum + bonus
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Buyer & Key Account Manager Merchandising / Promotional Items to join a leading international Business and Marketing Services provider with offices across the globe. Amongst their expansive client portfolio are mainly international A-brands. You will be trusted with spearheading all client service efforts of multiple key clients and mainly lead a diverse spectrum of print and merchandising / promotional item projects for them. You will be THE merchandising subject matter expert within the company for Iberia and be THE key contact for stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for developing both client and supplier relationships on both an operational and strategic level. Gaining an excellent understanding of their marketing needs (especially Merchandising / promotional items but also print) is key. Managing the projects from A-Z is essential as is being proactive throughout the process. The Key Account Manager and Senior Buyer – Merchandising / Promotional Items will recommend continuous improvements and innovations and ensure timely, in budget and high-level completion of all services. Clients and stakeholders will see you as both their expert advisor and Key level contact for escalations for Iberia (and sometimes Europe/worldwide).Besides leading projects, potentially junior staff in future and stakeholder contacts, Procurement is essential (including buying locally but alsoworldwide including Far East Asia).
The Required Skills and Experience
To be successful as the Key Account Manager & Buyer with speciality in Merchandising / Promotional Items you will need relevant experience and knowledge of running marketing campaigns on a large scale. The majority will be merchandising / promotional items / premiums / gifts /gadgets / goodies / freebies etc but this often goes hand in hand with creative services, POS, artwork, packaging, shopper marketing, loyalty programs and various other fields of marketing. Deep expertise in this field is a must. Native or fluent proficiency in the local language is essential as is the ability to speak and write in English (as it’s a international firm). You will also have knowledge of procurement – managing relationships with domestic and international suppliers and clients (as advised: experience in dealing with Far East supplier sin Asia is very important). Finally, and perhaps most important: Leadership skills and strategic thinking will be natural for you.
