The Opportunity

A next-level-opportunity has arisen for a Senior Account Manager – Promotional Items to join a hugely successful and multinational outsourcer of various retail and marketing solutions. As a leader within marketing outsourcing and marketing procurement, they manage to successfully deliver on large scale contracts with international A-brand clients, thanks to their extensive supplier networks, their innovative cutting-edge technology and the fantastic subject matter expertise in their workforce. In this role the core focus will be on organisation of strategy and operations for projects, procurement and production of specific promotional items for international FMCG brand partners. The promotional items division is relatively young, so there are plenty of chances to put your stamp on it.

The Role

As the Senior Account Manager – Promotional Items, you will be accountable for all promotional item related matters for your designated FMCG brand partners. This will include managing the strategy, operational aspects and the client contacts and suppliers including the various stakeholders. You will also manage the KPIs and SLAs for the procurement and production of promotional items (EMEA and Asia wide). This will include analytically improving processes and passionately seeking innovation and ecological improvements within service offerings. You will quickly develop an understanding of your account and their workflows and become their trusted partner when it comes to consulting on promotional items / gifts / merchandise / projects.

Required skills and experience

As the Senior Account Manager – Promotional Items you will have extensive experience in marketing execution and/or procurement, specifically in the area of promotional items, (sometimes also called: promotional gifts / promotional merchandise / give-aways / freebies or gadgets). A background within a marketing agency, creative agency, print management company, retail marketing firm or a BPO/managed services firm (linked to marketing services and solutions) might fit best. The role would be ideal for someone who has managed A-brand accounts and links to the FMCG sector will be very beneficial. Good English language skills will be needed, given the EMEA and Asian scope of procurement.
