A leading Print & IT firm is looking for a Key Account Manager based in the South Germany area to join the company and play a leading role in expanding sales in the DACH region. You will grow their market share through strong strategic analysis and by focus on winning new clients. This company has high profile international channel and end-user clients in Print and Document Solutions and associated Software and Supplies. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for gaining new business from large clients that are mainly based in the DACH area (South Germany is a hot spot for them hence the location). Growing and liaising the client base is key, there will be both hunting and farming involved. Generating leads, planning meetings, meeting new clients, advising them at expert level and reporting on progress are all part of the role. You will report to Senior European Management. Flexible home-office arrangements are possible and travel to key clients / prospects and the sales and marketing team members will be required as you see necessary. The DACH region is a prospect rich area waiting for the right ambitious individual to develop and claim it for their own.
The Required Skills and Experience
To be successful as the Key Account Manager, you will need a hunger for hunting new business opportunities and the confidence to close complex deals with clients. You will have entrepreneurial qualities, an affinity with IT and an understanding of (complex and innovative) Print solutions, document management solutions and relevant services and Software is a must. It is essential that you have knowledge of B2B sales business model and experience of dealing with key accounts. The Key Account Manager will hold a valid driving licence and be able to travel where needed and will constantly be pushing sales and marketing efforts. You must be fluent in German and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of English and other languages would be beneficial.
In return for your skills and experience as Key Account Manager, you will be offered an attractive salary of up to €80,000 (including a bonus part). Communication tools (phone, laptop etc.), travel and other costs related to the role will be looked after by the company. The company is open to discussing other possible benefits.
