I don’t know how to put this; but we’re kind of a big deal.
We are seriously proud of our reputation as a market leader and we have worked hard to get it! We work globally to place the most talented people in some fantastic companies and we do it well because we put the time in to understand our markets, connect with the best businesses and find candidates that other recruiters can’t. The root of our success is pretty simple; we listen to our clients, find out who they are and what they need then spend time really talking to candidates to make sure they will be genuinely happy in the roles we put them forward for.
We are always looking for ways to be better, we refuse to be left in the dark ages. Complacency is not a feature of ASG so we streamline our processes, add value for clients wherever we can and constantly evolve to match the growth of the markets we work in. After all, resisting change is a great way to fail.
What We Do
The easiest way to describe ASG is to say we are an “International, Multichannel Marketing and IT Recruiter, heavily involved in the world of Print.” – A bit of a mouthful!
We specialise in ‘Search’ recruitment. That means we don’t sit around and wait for candidates to find us, (although it’s awesome when the great ones do!) we get out there and hunt for the best.
Once you’ve been around as long as us, you know what talent looks like and where to find it. A great part of the way we work is the connections we make along the way. Because of the relationships our recruiters have and the names they make for themselves in their fields, they can find the people who don’t even know they’re looking for something new! That’s the approach that really helps in candidate short areas like Client Services, Creative, Operations, Production and Online Design and Development and it’s why we are confident when we say we can find the people that other recruiters simply don’t hear about.
Keeping hold of great people is as important as finding them in the first place. This is a serious issue for a lot of employers because the average recruiter is only looking to secure a fee and move on to the next role. That’s not how we do things. We’re not interested in brief flings; we’re in it for the long haul with our clients!
Building real client relationships is important and we don’t just manage it by being so charming and attractive. We put time and effort into finding candidates with staying power (people who will build a career with the clients we place them with) and steer clear of the ones we think are right for the job now, but will move on the first chance they get. A lot of that is about understanding the cultural fit and making sure we find a good match.
